Olga Anna Markowska is a Polish interdisciplinary artist, multi-instrumentalist and composer. She collaborated with Wojciech Wilk in the Teufelsberg duo, jointly recorded the EP "Uncomfortably Close", which was released in 2021 by SKAN Records. Currently works with artists such as Piotr Kaliński (Hinode Tapes, Nanook of The North) and Olgierd Dokalski (kIRk). Additionally, she composes and produces music for art installations and short films.

In solo work, her creative exploration spans early music, minimalism, ambient, and avant-garde genres. She seamlessly blends electronic elements with the enchanting tones of zither and cello, crafting evocative soundscapes. A devoted enthusiast of fascinating coincidences and a fan of creating recordings at home.

"Thrills" is the artist's first solo EP. The four premiere tracks will be released on 22.03.2024 (cassette / digital) via Gdańsk-based Kanu Kanu Recordings.

A recording that touches something ancient in us and brings a shift to places not yet discovered. It's hard to describe in any sensible way something that definitely mixes the spirit of Palestrina with the legacy of minimalism, reductionism and improvisation, although that's not really important here. A deeply emotional thing that doesn't talk about humanity, but speaks directly to it. jiristepan
